Wicker Chest Makeover

Storage is always an issue with us so when we spotted this wicker chest out at the side of the road I knew it could be saved.

 

 

First some paint to cover all the worn areas
The top was in worse shape than I originally thought

 So a piece of ply wood cut down to size, some stuffing and brown pleather given to me by a friend....
Kids shoes inside and out of site and a place for them to sit to put them on!
